If there is any doubt about the accuracy of the data, businesses are contacted directly to clarify outliers. Both values and indices are compared with the previous month and the corresponding month of the previous year. In the case of significant data revisions, for example when base year changes or seasonally adjusted data are revised, all time series are subject to the validation procedure. While directly reaching the production values of the data obtained through the survey, the turnovers obtained from the VAT declarations are converted into production value by using the production value coefficient (multiplication ratio). The product ratio is obtained by dividing the sum of the production values at the class level obtained through the survey by the total turnover obtained at the class level. The obtained multiplication ratio is applied to the total turnover at the class level reached through the declarations and the production value is reached. Then, the index is calculated by combining the two data sets. Quantity information is used for the production of coal, natural gas, oil, cigarettes and electricity, which are not calculated with the production value, and the number of days worked for the production of railway vehicles, boats and ships. Chained Laspeyres Index method is used in index calculation. Value added weights (t-1) of structural business statistics are used up to the division level, and value added weights (t-1) of the National Accounts are used for division and above. The weights are updated every year.

The class production value, which is formed by adding the production values obtained from the survey data and the production values calculated from the administrative registration turnovers, is deflated with the total PPI, converted to volume, class level indices are calculated, and the upper indices are reached by using weights. When production and sales information cannot be obtained from enterprises in the survey data, if the source of this is the lack of production and sales, the data is used as is. In cases where the source is the inability to reach the enterprise or refusal to respond (which is not a common situation under normal conditions), imputation is made using the enterprise's turnover rate. As a source of imputation in cases where data cannot be accessed in administrative record data (during periods when it is difficult to partially access both survey and administrative record data, such as the pandemic process), e-invoice, e-archive, e-ticket, e-self-employment receipt, card payment and foreign trade data can be used.

The monthly (t+40) industrial production index data includes raw indices, seasonal and calendar adjusted indices, monthly and annual changes.
"
