# Advance Economic Indicators Report: February 2026

## Summary

The U.S. Census Bureau announced today the advance statistics for the goods trade balance, wholesale inventories, and retail inventories for February 2026.

### International Trade in Goods

The international trade deficit was **$83.5 billion** in February, up from **$80.9 billion** in January.

*   **Exports:** Goods exports for February were **$314.8 billion**, an increase from January's **$302.1 billion**.
*   **Imports:** Goods imports for February were **$372.1 billion**, an increase from January's **$356.6 billion**.

### Advance Wholesale Inventories

Wholesale inventories, adjusted for seasonal variations and trading day differences, but not for price changes, were estimated at an end-of-month level of $903.2 billion, up 0.5 percent (±0.2 percent) from January 2026.

### Advance Retail Inventories

Retail inventories, adjusted for seasonal variations and trading day differences, but not for price changes, were estimated at an end-of-month level of $805.4 billion, up 0.4 percent (±0.2 percent) from January 2026.
