## Overview

In February 2026, German exports increased by 3.6% compared to January 2026, while imports rose by 4.7%. Compared to the same month last year (February 2025), exports were up 2.9% and imports up 1.5%.

The foreign trade balance (seasonally and calendar-adjusted) showed a surplus of 19.8 billion euros in February 2026, down from 20.3 billion in January 2026 and up from 17.6 billion in February 2025.
