## New Passenger Car Registrations

Im März 2026 wurden **294.161 fabrikneue Personenkraftwagen (Pkw)** und damit **+16,0 Prozent mehr** als im Vorjahresmonat zugelassen.

After the first quarter, registrations showed an overall increase of **5.2 percent**.

The share of commercial registrations rose by **+13.0 percent** compared to March 2025, reaching a share of **65.0 percent**. Private new registrations increased by **22.2 percent**.

## Key Details

- **Electric vehicles (BEV):** 70,663 units (+66.2%), share 24.0%
- **Hybrid vehicles:** 117,846 units (+16.2%), share 40.1%
  - Plug-in hybrids: 29,996 units (+13.0%), share 10.2%
- **Gasoline:** 66,959 units (-4.9%), share 22.8%
- **Diesel:** 37,664 units (-0.6%), share 12.8%
