## Overview

Monthly trade statistics reporting the value of exports and imports for March 2026. Values are in millions of JPY, not seasonally adjusted. Exports are FOB; imports are CIF.

## Notes

1. Export values are based on F.O.B. (Free On Board); import values are based on C.I.F. (Cost, Insurance, and Freight). Goods imported by authorized importers or customs brokers but not yet declared for duty payment are valued based on the declaration for release of goods.
2. Statistical timing:
   - **Exports:** Entry is made in the month within which falls the date when a ship or aircraft loading the goods concerned leaves a Japanese port.
   - **Imports:** Entry is made in the month within which falls the date of the import permit.
3. Percent Change means percentage change from the same month in the preceding year.
