## Indicator Summary

The Central Bank of Brazil's *Índice de Atividade Econômica* (IBC-Br) increased **0.6% month-over-month** in February 2026 (seasonally adjusted), down from a 0.8% rise in January. This matches the Bloomberg consensus forecast of 0.5% and confirms modest but continued expansion.

## Background

The IBC-Br is a monthly index published by the Central Bank of Brazil that aggregates economic activity across agriculture, industry, services, and taxes.
